Camping and Fishing Trip | Nature | Outside

M and my fist camping and fishing trip a few years ago was perfection! It was perfection because we spent few days with friends, relaxing, and fishing. The camp ground was far enough away from everything.

I know nothing about fishing. I fished at least once as a kid. During this trip I didn’t fish and I don’t recall all these years later why I didn’t purchase a fishing license. While everyone else fished I was unbelievably happy documenting our camping trip.

California’s drought effect was in full swing. As we made our way to the Mammoth area, we weren’t even sure if we were going to be able to use the boat.

The boat we borrowed from a friend was named Twisted Sister. She fit the four of us nicely but she had one flaw. She had a small hole on the bottom. Yes, we were on a boat that was taking on water! It wasn’t too bad because the hole was small and there was a platform we stood on that the water didn’t go over.

We have been camping many times since our first adventurous trip and have one or two coming up!
